We acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Owners, upon whose Country we are based, the Barkandji people.

We'd also like to acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

 

This land was and always will be, Aboriginal land.

WHO WE ARE

We are a grass roots organisation, who aims to support the initiatives of local community to support the Youth of Wilcannia.

WHAT WE DO

The Wilcannia Youth held its Inaugural Annual General Meeting on the 21st June 2022. The Foundation objectives were outlined in the constitution.

This red dirt, it takes a hold of you. The blue skies, the sunsets, the starry nights, the river... Country holds onto you. Then you meet the people. Within one week of living in Wilcannia, I had signed up to stay until the end of the year.
